Dear Father who art in Heaven,
I asked you once, I asked you twice,
I asked you a hundred million times.
Hallowed be Thy name,
I called upon you to save me,
To give me a sign that my life is not futile.
That it is not the mess that I have made it.
Thy Kingdom come,
As a hope that I can seek you,
Somewhere beyond my mortality.
Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.
So is this your doing?
Was I supposed to turn my life into hell?
Or had you planned this all along?
Give us this day our daily bread,
Not just me or my family.
Give it to the poor souls,
Whose lives’ are miserable –
impoverished, lost and desperate.
And forgive us our trespasses,
Because the mistakes I have made,
The sins I have committed,
The harm I have done,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
I have, haven’t I?
Lead us not into temptation,
But here I am,
Having sunk into the temptation
That dragged me along for so long.
But deliver us from the devil.
Because he lives inside my head.
Save me from him.
For Thine is the Kingdom,
And the Glory,
Are you even listening?
